If I owned Bandcamp, I'd invest in marketing outreach to more people. The average person has never heard of the site.
The default assumption is that there's only a tiny sliver of the populace who would find it worthwhile.
I think that's a huge cultural and economic mistake.

fun reminder that you should have a bandcamp account & tie your purchases to it so that you can download the album at as high quality as you want (including wav & flac) at any time & store them on a drive because personal music libraries are the only guaranteed music preservation
