Hace un par de semanas citamos de rebote el BA Sonic Arts programme de la universidad de Middlesex (UK).. Pues nos llega la noticia de que recientemente, su director, Tony Gibbs, ha publicado un libro titulado «The Fundamentals of Sonic Art and Sound Design». Aún no ha caido en nuestras manos, pero según la amplia reseña que Regine Debatty ha publicado en we-make-money-not-art, parece una lectura recomendable y amena para cualquier interesado en el binomio arte-sonido. El libro toca diversos aspectos e incluye un poco de historia, entrevistas a artistas, información técnica, las cuestiones a tratar a la hora de organizar una exhibición con trabajos sonoros, etc…

Según Regine, uno de los puntos flojos es la falta de atención a lo que sucede y se publica en la red, y cita a blogs conocidos como create digital music y networked music review junto a mediateletipos, como tres importantes fuentes de recursos en la red en torno a lo sonoro, lo cual nos alegra.

La nota del editor dice lo siguiente:
