Entre los próximos 20 y 28 de Septiembre se celebrara en Lisboa RADIALX 08 un festival muy interesante en torno a la radio y su uso como medio de resistencia creativa y herramienta social para contribuir a la lucha contra la hegemonía de lo visual y el espectáculo retiniano dominante. El plantel de artistas participantes es muy atractivo y también hay una convocatoria abierta para enviarles programas que tengan que ver con la radio como medio, los cuales serán incluidos en una programación especial durante el festival.

We would like to invite you to propose and submit a radio show for the Radialx08

RadiaLX is a Radio Art festival which will take place at very venues in and around Lisbon, between the 20th and 28th of September, gathering a set of international radio artists, producers and cultural agents.

This event emerges from the necessity to expand the idea and debate around the radio as a creative alternative medium and where artists, producers and researchers are invited to reflect, debate, create new works, present their projects or (re) interpret them for the radio medium, encouraging creative and technical experimentation among artists and colaboratve practioners working with radio tools and transmisssion.

The festival comprises a wide variety of performances, workshops, broadcasts, discussions, and lectures.

You can submit any kind of narrative, documentary, short, experimental, sound poetry, field recording … as long as it is connected to the radio as medium !

Restrictions regarding duration: please submit only either 28 or 57 minutes.
Format : Mp3, Aiff, Flac, etc.
If you want to propose instead a series of programs, great! let us know. for sending the submission, let us know first and we’ll provide details.

Deadline: September 15, 2008
