“Estudo de Disparos” owes credit to work of artists such as Bill Viola or Alvin Lucier. It uses a (real) gun to shoot inside different abandoned military buildings in the Ferrol area (a town in the Northwest of Spain with a strong military history and hometown of former dictatorship Franco), obtaining acoustic fingerprints of these now empty rooms. These so-called impulse responses are mounted together with stills taken at the moment of shooting.
