Hello Everyone,

This is Dale Lloyd of and/OAR.
Apart from sending shipping updates, I rarely use this function of the Diffusion Shop.
However, it is important that I reach as many and/OAR supporters as possible since
there is a fundraising campaign for three releases and the deadline to reach the financial
goal is coming up very soon (Saturday, August 15 at 11:57 PM Pacific USA time).

Given the slower pace of pledges coming in over the past week, we are still only
70% of the way there, so it’s going to take a miracle to reach the goal.
For those who did not know about the fundraiser, there is a sound sample video on
the campaign page as well as details about the project, and cover images.
The three releases being offerred in the campaign are:

Various Artists: Andrei Tarkovsky – Another Kind Of Language CD x 3
Jon Tulchin: Location Recordings Collection CD x 2
Search Ensembles: Search Ensembles CD

After thinking about it today, I also have a new proposal announcement which I
haven’t mentioned anywhere until now.

If we somehow manage to reach the goal before the campaign deadline, apart from
adding all backers of the campaign to the Acknowledgements section of the News
page of the and/OAR website, all top tier pledgers (at the $99 level) will also recieve
a free copy of the next scheduled and/OAR release which as of now (depending on
the amount of funds available at the time of manufacturing) will likely be one of the
following:

Lasse-Marc Riek: One Hour As Trees In Finland (CD)
or
Jarra Schirris: Sama’ – Dusk & Dawn (CD x 2) Malaysian rainforest recordings re-issue

I was going to originally include Jarra Schirris’ re-issue in the campaign, but another
two CD release would have increased the fundrasing goal, plus I decided that mostly
offering new work would inspire more pledges (given that the Tarkovsky project features
a lot of new tracks, Jon Tulchin’s re-issue includes extra unreleased tracks, and the
Search Ensemble release features all previously unreleased recordings.

With your help and/OAR will be able to continue publishing new releases into the future
as well as re-issuing some of the early CDR releases on CD.
