Todas Las Historias, un “inserto en tiempo real” de Dora García pasa a un nuevo formato weblog. El weblog de Todas Las Historias nace como un nuevo formato de la colección Todas Las Historias, en línea desde el año 2001. Este weblog quiere añadir al original una clara estructura temporal (la del proceso de su escritura) y dar la posibilidad a los lectores de Todas Las Historias, de ser también sus escritores y comentaristas.

Me parece muy interesante esta actualización en la obra de Dora García, porque sigue evidenciando que es una de las artistas que sabe actualizarse a las nuevas herramientas que surgen poco a poco. El weblog, aunque no es algo nuevo, es algo que poco a poco está generando comunidades interesantes. Así que también puedes sindicar TODAS LAS HISTORIAS y algo muy importante que te permite buscar y trabaja con categorías.

zemos98 produjo una performance de Todas las Historias, de Dora García, y en el catálogo zemos98.5 apareció este artículo de David García Casado.

The hidden link revealed on our #1 (May, 2004) just got stronger on this Autumn/Winter double issue: the Sonic Scope Quarterly presents visuals from multidisciplinary artists and mostly are also musicians and sound “hunters”.

We will continue to publish works from artists who are not active in the music field but we are enhancing that specific “cross-over” not only because the magazine was born out of an experimental music label but also because we are aware of the increasing number of artists who are spreading their talent through sound but also through visuals.

Two new sections were add to the mag: live archive, dedicated to photographs taken on live musical performances; ltd.edt., dedicated to commercially available handmade works and different creative stuff released on a limited quantity.

GeneMusiK is an experimental biological music mixing and generating system currently under development by Dr Nigel Helyer at the Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, Univesrity of Western Australia under the aegis of ‘SymbioticA’.
The GeneMusiK project is designed to establish a functional relationship between conventional Western musical scales and DNA sequences and produce a system for mixing and mutating musical form within a biological context.

Whilst there have been several interesting attempts to transliterate DNA code into musical forms and notation these have invariably been theoretical analogues GeneMusik departs from previous experiments in that it is an entirely ‘wet’ process, which employs chemical and biological means to achieve musical transformations. Rather than taking given DNA structures and rendering them as musical code, GeneMusik takes fragments of conventional Western melody and sequences them as DNA that is subsequently ‘bred’ and ‘mixed’ within bacterial cultures.

Tis the season to be a consumer. Dreams of digital gadgets and new appliances unfurl in front of our eyes in a seemingly endless parade of models and prices. Amidst this dizzying array of choices, there is something satisfying about having one’s options limited. This is the logic behind 56k TV – Bastard Channel, a quasi television channel based on the web. Produced by Xcult.org, who have been organizing online art collaborations since 1995, 56k TV features programs that reformat television genres to fit the formal and conceptual structures of net art, such as a notably low bandwidth. The result is a play-list that ranges widely in style, genre and speed, and available only on a restricted schedule. The programs include a text-based, mystery miniseries by Young-Hae Chang Heavy Industries, a news show narrated by a TV Bot created by Marc Lee, and a talk show titled ‘New From the Dead’ in which dead loved ones are conjured back from beyond the grave to commune with a studio audience. Take respite from the freedom to be a rampant holiday consumer, and catch 56k’s promising first season while you still can.
